Department of Agricultural Biology

About the Department

In February 1986, the department produced its first alumni, and opened master’s program in November 1987, opened doctoral program in November 1988, and in 1996, Agriculture Department and Horticultural Science Department were integrated into Agricultural Bio Department. However in 2009, Biological Resources Science Department was reformed to Agricultural Bio Department.

In August 1982, professor So In Young who was in charge of Agriculture and Plant Pathology gave lectures in the beginning, and the lack of teaching staff was supplemented by the professors in Biology Education Department in the Department of Education, Biology Department in the College of Natural Science who agreed to teach our students. There are research labs for professors, prep room, insectary, aseptic room, equipment room, sampling room, and microscope room, and many apparatus came in from ECGD and IBRD for experiment.
