Department of Psychology

About the Department

Department of Psychology in Chonbuk University was established in 1978, recruited students for the first time in 1979, and many students have graduated from the university. They are now working in various areas, taking parts in developing the society.
In 1983 and 1995, master’s and doctoral program was opened, and the school has been improving its reputation of being the central psychology education. Six of the professors and students will continue to work hard to become the leading professionals in thie field.
Many parts of psychology are rapidly developing, and the demands and requests for psychological professional are rapidly increasing in corporate, government organization, hospitals, counseling organization, investigation organization, school, and research labs.
Students can get national licenses as psychologist (1, 2 grade), clinical psychologist 1,2 grades (Ministry ofh Health and Welfare), and psychologist (1,2 grade) or psychology professional. Theses qualification system will build the basis for the students to start working as professionals.
