About the Department

Food Science is the field of study that secures and develops food, the indispensable one in human survival, and is related in establishing the industrial process of mass product, safety securement, aging of food resources, improvement in preference and storage of agricultural, fisheries, and livestock products. The department fosters professionals that are demanded in food industry-related organization or corporate by giving them various opportunities to practice and understand the food microorganism, chemical analysis, processing, or to biologically and chemically understand the physiological changes that take place when they get absorbed in human body, and the characteristics and the scientific technologies of agricultural, fisheries, and livestock raw materials or products.
